This is a picture of our hotel parking lot at around 4 am on our
second night in Philly. It's hard to see, but the first snow of
the season is falling. This is the first snowfall I've ever seen.

| This is the same parking
lot the next morning. |
| |
| Ahhh, the joys of snow.
This chap is stuck outside snowblowing the sidewalk. |
| |
| All trees look like Christmas
trees when it snows. |
| |
| This is a pretty common
sight up here... poor chumps out in the cold, scraping ice off their
windshields. |
| |
| This is how we found
Liz's car after the heaviest night of snow. |
| |
| There's around 4 inches
of snow on every window in the car. |
| |
| The windshield is covered
too... not to mention the wipers are frozen to the windshield. |

| Here is one of the chumps
outside scraping ice. |
| |
| This is my poor car.
I don't think it likes the snow very much. |
| |
| This is our new apartment.
Nice, huh? The packers put about 4 times as much paper as stuff in
each box. This is the garbage pile after emptying about 10% of the
boxes. |
| |
| This is the one habitable
room in our house right now. |
