The Strip

We only spent two days in Vegas so we only made it into a few of the casinos but we drove the strip several times so that we could get a lot of pictures.

I had always heard that there were wedding chapels on every corner in Vegas... It's true! I know that a good majority of the people in Vegas are drunk a good majority of the time, but are there really that many people in need of instant weddings?

This is some new crazy casino that looks like a UFO crash landing.

Hey look... it's Caesars Palace.

This is the entrance to the Monte Carlo. From here, the statues look to be some beautiful classic Greek gods, Aphrodite, Artemis, or Apollo. On closer inspection, though, they look to be more like a petrified, 70s nightmare complete with liesure suits and afros.

This is the Stratosphere tower and casino. You can ride up to the top and look over Vegas, but it costs something like 20 bucks so we skipped it.

This is the mini Eiffel Tower connected to the Paris hotel and casino. I think you can ride up to the top of the tower here as well, but we didn't even check.

This is the Sahara hotel and casino. Liz and I were going to try to come here and see magician Steve Wyrick. Apparently he was the understudy of David Copperfield and makes helicopters disappear, and so on. It turns out tickets cost over a hundred bucks a person and that just doesn't fit into our Sanford and Son budget.

The Stardust, home of Wayne Newton. This place looks as old as he does!

The Circus-Circus casino and hotel. This place is starting to show its age as well.

Liz actually took a second picture of this sign when we were a bit closer. From almost directly under the sign the clown looks like the villian from Stephen King's 'It'. I never really understood why anyone liked clowns.
